LACE FRONTAL MAINTENANCE TIPS

Lace frontals are HIGH MAINTENANCE and require a lot of care when wearing them, here are a few tips on purchasing the right frontal, our recommendations and after care tips! 

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FRONTAL

Its your responsibility to choose the right frontal for the best results!

When purchasing a frontal:

  • AVOID DENSE FRONTALS - you can tell by looking at the super thick hairline, avoid this as they do not give you a natural finish. 
  • AVOID GREY-ISH/GREEN TONED FRONTALS - Frontals of this kind are very cheap , frontals can only be darkened, not lightened and with a green or grey-ish undertone, it will not match your skin and natural look cannot be achieved.

 

Transparent Lace - Caucasian or light brown skin tones

Light brown or Medium brown Lace - Medium brown or dark skinned

    GENERAL FRONTAL AFTER CARE TIPS:

    WASHING OFF THE FRONTAL

     When taking off a glued frontal, use rubbing alcohol or lace glue remover. We recommend C-22 Spray or Rubbing alcohol for removing frontals glued with lace adhesive

    When re-applying or taking off your frontal, always GENTLY wash off glue residue/ build-up from the lace with warm water and shampoo with a soft toothbrush. Ensure you wash off glue after every reapplication, espeically if using Got2Be 

    MAINTENANCE 

    Wear a headscarf to maintain the installed frontal to bed if you plan on keeping the frontal on for more than 3 days

    Try not to scratch, comb or brush the lace too harshly, this can create holes in your frontal or extreme shedding/patching 

    Would not recommend wearing a frontal everyday as this will effect the longevity of the frontal.

    Shedding is NORMAL - frontal replacements are required every 3-4 months or even longer or shorter. This depends how often you wear the frontal, the more you wear it, the sooner you will need a replacement

    Same tips apply to HD Lace. They are very delicate and are more likely to tear or form small holes if you are not GENTLE.
